Effective June 4, 2026
Corie is a relationship-memory assistant you use over text message. You tell Corie about the people you meet; Corie remembers the details and reminds you to follow up. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you stay in control. Plain language, no dark patterns.
To run the service: capture and recall your relationship memory, send follow-up reminders, draft messages when you ask, and process payments. We use AI models (below) to read business cards, transcribe voice memos, and draft follow-ups. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your relationship data to train third-party models.
Corie runs on our own self-hosted infrastructure (Postgres, object storage, cache). We rely on these third parties only for the specific functions listed:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Reading business cards; drafting follow-ups |
| OpenAI | Transcribing voice memos |
| Linq / Twilio | Sending & receiving your text messages |
| Stripe | Subscription billing (card data stays with Stripe) |
| Resend | Transactional email (sign-in links, receipts) |
| Google Calendar | Optional — pre-meeting briefs, only if you connect it |
| HubSpot / Folk / Attio | Optional — only if you connect a CRM to sync your contacts out |
Calendar and CRM connections are off by default and entirely your choice. If you connect Google Calendar, Corie reads upcoming events (read-only) to brief you before meetings. If you connect a CRM, Corie pushes your contacts to it one-way. You can disconnect either at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored access token.
We keep your data while your account is active. On a free plan, the app surfaces the last 30 days of a contact's history in the web view (older history is retained but shown only on Pro). When you delete your account, we soft-delete immediately and permanently erase your data in a scheduled cleanup shortly after.
Data is stored on access-controlled, self-hosted infrastructure and transmitted over TLS. Access tokens for optional integrations are stored to operate those integrations and removed when you disconnect. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we limit access on a need-to-know basis and minimize what we collect.
Corie is not directed to anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
We'll update this page and revise the effective date for material changes.
